While on vacation I couldn’t help but photograph two very good friends of mine. Cabo Pulmo’s beach could not have been prettier and then to top it off with an awesome couple like these two…I was in photography heaven Thank you Brent and Julie for being the amazing people that you are. I feel very lucky to have you both as friends

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a very beautiful and talented writer. Ana Maria contacted me with the need for an updated head shot for her recent success. She just won 2nd place for UCLA’s screen writing competition with her screenplay ‘Hanging Moon.’ The details of the competition along with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be published in The Hollywood Reporter on September 14.

Ana-Maria – CONGRATULATIONS!! I wish you nothing but the best and I am looking forward to one day seeing one of your screenplays!

Malia’s senior portrait session started off in downtown Chico followed by a short stop at the ‘bamboo forest’ (as I call it) where we were almost carried off by the gabillion mosquitoes that just thought we were soooo delicious. I was kinda frightened honestly…

We finished the photo shoot on Table Mountain which is just ridiculously green this time of year. If you haven’t been to enjoy its natural beauty it’s definitely worth the drive. Oh, and just FYI, there are cows up there, who may or may not want to investigate what you’re up to…

For being one of my best friends.

For always knowing how to make me laugh The laugh where I double over from lack of oxygen…yeah, you are the master at that.

For being so gosh darn adorable!

And for caring so deeply for your friends and family.

Haley loves ballet and has been studying dance since she was a little girl. I had her show me a few moves and as usual I was fascinated with the grace and discipline that ballet calls for.

At the end of the day when we were wrapping things up I just had to have my good friend John who is Haley’s boyfriend step in for a few. Although he wasn’t planning on being in front of the camera he was a great sport about it

A few weeks ago I got to document the birth story of the adorable little Miss Kiera who is the daughter of my very good friends Jeff and Sheila. It has been so neat to witness how their family is changing and the immense love that just glows on their faces whenever they are with their baby girl. Kiera is such a good baby. She already sleeps through the night! Is hardly ever fussy and just plain adorable.

Okay, the fussy party did happen when I showed up with my camera I will admit, but who can blame her? Not everyone loves the paparazzi treatment

Ryan and Jennifer,

Someday I hope to be half as good as a parent as you are to your children. Seriously. You have the most well behaved 2 year old I have ever met. Not to mention he is cute beyond words and waaaay too smart for his age. And to top it off you have a brand new son, Christopher. I’m not sure how the world hasn’t imploded because that much cuteness can’t possibly exist at the same place in time. But it does in your family.

It was such an honor documenting your growing family!

I do have to say that I learned that in kid currency animal crackers and chortles are like gold.
