I think this might be the first time in my life I’ve used the word ‘hootenanny’ in any form of communication.
But a hootenanny it was indeed.
This weekend we celebrated my husband’s birthday. And for us parties and any form of celebration revolves around – food. Milan’s favorite type of food is anything southern or Cajun. Last year we started the tradition of a southern style cook out…hootenanny…eating extravaganza and I think we will keep it up as long as possible. Or until we get tired of crawfish or shrimp….which probably isn’t anytime soon![]()

AndouilleĀ sausage which I purchased at my favorite local butcher shop – Chico Locker & Sausage Co.

This was the first time I had eaten head on shrimp, which we ordered from Louisiana Crawfish Company. It was absolutely delicious and had an extra sweetness to it. If you want fresh, authentic Louisiana crawfish, shrimp or gator I highly recommend ordering from them. They are very friendly and the order arrives perfectly packaged and on time.

The chef and birthday boy himself. Milan, I am so incredibly thankful to call you my husband…my best friend. Here’s to many more shrimp boils… and hootenanny’s![]()

Bria - Ahh I’m so sad I had to miss it! Granted, the wedding I shot was great, the food wasn’t nearly as delish as that stuff looks. I got back in town right around the time you guys were wrapping things up. Ahh well, maybe next time. Looks like you all had a ton of fun.
